PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE - 17-20 SEPTEMBER 2018
This mid-week event is designed to create some of the fun of the pre-war TOC events with light-hearted car based competitions and visits to interesting places. It will be based in the historic town of Southwell, Nottinghamshire – www.visitsouthwell.com
We shall spend three nights at the ancient Saracen’s Head Inn, where Charles 1st spent his last day as the free king of England. Day 1 will take us through Sherwood Forest and the Dukeries, where we retrace some of the route taken by the 1900 One Thousand Mile Trial. Day 2 we explore the picturesque Trentside villages and then into the Vale of Belvoir, taking in a pre WW1 hill climb and finishing at spectacular Belvoir Castle.
Full details will be published on the website in due course.
Mileages will be low (60-80) and gradients modest, making the event suited to all Talbots including Light Cars and Edwardians. If you are interested in learning more please contact Martin Bryant.
Spaces are limited to twelve so don’t delay!
