December 1st saw over thirty happy Talboteers meet for the Christmas lunch at Chateau Impney in Droitwich and enjoy themselves at the Club’s annual social gathering. The numbers would have been greater but for several unfortunate and unavoidable absences.
The result of the sealed bid auction for the Tickford saloon was announced—the winning bid came from James Fack and we look forward to its restoration in due course.
The award for the Member attending from the farthest distance in a Talbot was won – to his great surprise – by Nick Helliker in his beautiful AW75/95 6-light saloon. Surprised, because he hadn’t booked for the lunch, but had just popped by to say hello. Persuaded to stay, he was in fact the only Member to attend in a Talbot! Well done Nick!
It was a really pleasant finale to a great Talbot year.
